We have chosen 2 songs which is 'hey jude' by the beatles and 'superstition' bu stevie wonderand so far its going quite well!
For supertition we have all the music and vocals,everything is set all we have to do is practice more then this will be a anazing performance! We are able
To pick up the kulintang relatively quick and all the music are in place! We still need to work in some parts just to improve it and make it better! Since the kulintang players just started learning, we stil need to practice a lot, other than that we need on the vocals and naking it louder, we actually have this problem with the 'hey jude'too!
'Hey jude'is in progress..i guess! The singers and harmonies are figured out and all we have fix thise notes and practice a little bit more! For the music wise we need to put more work on it because the music that we use so far and found have some mistakes and not in tune with everything else! Overall the vocal is good burbthere is time when the harmonies are not hitting the rigth notes or are out of tune and the main singers also sometimes are weak or start wih the wrong notes but we have figure out the main idea by now! But the music(band) is something we need to figure out fast!
With all these progress we are thinking for adding one more song which is trailer by michael jackson! All we have right now is only the singers but we're working on it and we are starting to search for sheet music and nites for it!
We are short in time with the exam next week taking 2 of our lessons making us left with 4 more lessons until performance so we are really short in time but I personally believe that if we are focused and work together we can do it but if we dont this will be a total mess! We are inviting other year 8 students to watch the performance and our teacher,Ibu Megan wants to invite parents and other year levels! We all as a class decided to not invite other year levels but we're not quite sure about parents just yet!
